Managing tax season so-so.

This book was a good primer for how to manage your tax season if you are an inexperienced practitioner. However, having a few tax seasons under my belt, my primary reason for purchasing this book was to get one or two great ideas about how manage my own tax season in a more efficient way. I was somewhat disappointed. There were a few ideas that I could implement but none of them were earth shattering. Overall, the tone of the book came off as monotone. Sort of a checklist of how this particular author’s firm does things. I was hoping for a mix of ideas from 5 or 10 different firms on how they do things. That way, you could compare and contrast the different methods, measure them against your own practice, and develop your own best practices. Overall, the book affirmed our own practices, and provided some insight as to how another firm operates and that is always valuable.
