I have been dealing with the Internal Revenue Service for over thirty years, with three of those years employed as a Revenue Agent. This course does a great job of taking you through the entire process of IRS contact, from assessment to collection. The section on IRS examinations is extremely helpful, with references to appropriate resources, such as Audit Technique Guides, and a good explanation of the appeals process. With the ongoing recession, two chapters are especially timely and relevant. The chapter on bankruptcy provides a good overview of bankruptcy in general, with a more detailed discussion on discharging federal tax liabilities. There is also a chapter on the IRC Section 6672 trust fund penalty, with very helpful client strategies for avoiding or minimizing this penalty. There is so much information contained in the course manual that is useful to the tax practitioner. Virtually all aspects of client representation are presented, all in one reference tool. It has become a much-valued reference volume in my library and is a must-have for CPAs representing clients before the IRS.
